.33cl bottle into Swiss kitchenware glass (all that was available) in Zürich, Switzerland. Acquired in Le Village de la Biere in Strasbourg, France. Reviewed live.

A: Half finger head of slight cream and fair thickness. Poor retention. Hazy amber-copper colour.

Sm: Caramel, fringe notes of spice, and some floral hops. A mild strength scent.

T: Caramel, spice, and floral hops. The spices are welcome but unbalanced, especially against the overbearing floral notes. The caramelized malt isn't suited to the build of the style or the beer. More complex than anticipated, but at the expense of the balance. It's refreshing to an extent. The finish is dominantly Pain d-Epice. Shocker.

Mf: Smooth and wet, with some nice coarseness on the climax. It's too thin, and almost artificially floral, however. I don't like this aspect of the beer.

Dr: Decent ABV, okay drinkability, and a fairly high price make this beer one to leave on the shelf.
