Canned 3/17/16; drank 4/8/16 @ the Yarchives.
Poured from the can into a glass.
Cloudy orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a HUGE eggshell head; a curtain of frothy lace.
Orange citrus & mild honey notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Orange citrus & faint honey flavors up front; mild grapefruit bite on the finish. No booze heat. Pleasant & fruity; mild enough to be dangerous considering the abv. Good!

A twelve ounce can dated 08/08/16 and stamped Citra on the bottom with the date.
Look- Pours a nearly transparent dark gold with a generous finger of white foam.
Smell- Very floral like a bouquet of flowers, along with passionfruit, grapefruit and a tease of malt in the back.
Taste- Once again I'm getting floral notes up front followed by grapefruit, pineapple, a hint of passionfruit and some malt in the finish.
Feel- Resiny hop oil with a bitter but somewhat slick finish. It must be that malt backbone?
Overall- Not quite what I expect in a Citra DIPA with the smell and taste leaning heavily floral, but a rather good beer nonetheless. A solid but not overpowering hop presence with a somewhat chewy and slick malt backbone make for a more balanced and very drinkable 8.1% DIPA. It's definitely worth a try!

Draft: Poured a pale blonde color ale with a light foamy head. Aroma of citrusy and light tropical hops is offset by some cereal malt notes. Taste is a mix of cereal notes with some light citrusy hops with light floral fruity notes. Body is average with good carbonation. Not bad but appears they are not getting as much flavours form Citra as I had expected.

Pours a slighty rusty copper with a plump head of creamy white foam.
Noticeable aroma of Citra hops, but not in your face. Orange, grapefruit, and slight tropical notes.
Grapefruit, guava, orange, and slightly resinous.
Light-medium bodied, medium carbonation, resinous, bitter, citrusy and slightly tropical.
Overall, definitely not your average beer here, a few tweaks and I think BuckleDown could have something amazing.
