L: Cola caramel brown, light tan head
S: Not too aromatic, slightly nutty
T: Crisp, light, malty, clean, a little smokey and nutty with some residual dryness on the finish
F: Light, thinner body, dry
O: Incredibly refreshing. I don't have a great base of mild ales to which I can compare this, but I love the line this treads between crisp light and darkness

Pours a dark chocolate brown color. Pretty much completely opaque. Nice thin, velvety tan head lingers for a bit on the head before dissipating. Aroma has nice notes of chocolate, cocoa, biscuit malts, a just a hint of earthiness from the hops. Its really a delicious aroma and very enticing.
Taste follows the nose with notes of chocolate malts, cocoa, pumpernickel bread, biscuit malts and a light, pleasant earthiness on the back end. Its beauty is its simplicity. Really nice flavor os present, but its a light, easy drinking beer. This fits the mild session ale perfectly. Bright, but balanced carbonation. Has a kind of powdery dry quality to it. I do not mind drier beers, so it did not bother me at all.
Overall a delicious English mild - for me, this is a really treat since its a hard style to find solid examples of here in the states and its a huge plus that its from a local brewery that I can support while purchasing this.

Released 09/25/20 in 16oz cans and on tap and now at 4.5abv.
16oz draft pour into a pint glass shows a dark brown body briefly floating a 1/8in cap of tan colored tiny bubbles that disippates to a wisps and leaves the glass clean.
A nutty, roasty aroma excites the senses, especially on this chilly early fall night.
Flavors match with just enough body to feel like beer, yet still allow lots more drinks. Clears the palate cleanly with a roasty memory.
Overall a pleasure to find flavor at this abv.

Draft: Poured a clear light brown color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of dry nutty flavours with some grainy notes. Taste is also a mix of grainy malt notes with light nutty flavours and a dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Not bad thought buckwheat notes are not as smooth as I was expecting.
