22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Released 10/28/21, had 11/5/21.
Pours a dark brown, opaque, with a quarter inch head and sparse foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, malt, char, vanilla, chocolate, brown sugar, some smoke, some caramel as it warms. The flavors vary slightly- bourbon, chocolate, char, vanilla, some brown sugar, some malted milk balls, light leather. Smooth, a very good but thinner full body, appropriately carbonated.
A definite step up from their more recent barrel aged releases. Great barrels, many enticing aromas and flavors. Still a slightly thinner feel, but improved. Best fully warmed. Very enjoyable.
