16 fl oz. can, canned 06/13/22. My first new beer from BuckleDown Brewing in quite a while; this one a "Kolsch style with tangerine added".
Poured to Camp Crystal Lake stemless wine snifter.
Pours a crisp golden yellow-orange body, lots of very fine sediment lingering in the glass, barely half a finger of soapy white head that dies out quick, leaving barely any lacing behind. Sediment is nice, but it could use some more froth.
Light aroma: grainy, papery, wheaty, with some zesty citrus extract coming through. Definitely embodies a freshly cut tangerine, but the aroma doesn't come off very authentic. Smells more of citrus rind / extract than of real fruit.
Taste is the same: grainy, papery, wheaty, with just a splash of tangerine orange thrown in for flavor. Tastes watery, with flavors of wet cardboard. Citrus leaves you wishing for more zest, sour, & authenticity in every sip. Like a fruited water beverage without any flavor. Tastes super adjunct-y if that makes sense.
Crisp & grainy. Husky. Medium-bodied, with less carbonation than I think it needs. Not quenching or horribly easy-drinking. Dry finish.
Overall, a bit let down by this one, definitely lacking in tangerine flavor & authenticity.

Pours an orange tinged golden color, slightly cloudy, lightly effervescent. Thin, weak white head forms on the beer for just a moment before completely dissipating.
Aroma has notes of light orange and tangerine, grassy hops, and some crackery malts.
Taste is reminiscent of an overly sweet kölsch with notes of orange rind and some dried orange. Light pilsnery malt notes come through underneath. Some grassy hops come through on the back end.
Feel is medium bodied, moderately carbonated. Semi-dry finish.
Overall it is not a beer I would really want to drink again.

16oz can
thanks to Josh for giving me a can to try. It’s 91 degrees outside and I just came in from doing some yard work - this seems like the right beer to have!
L: slightly hazed light tangerine colored ale, foamy white head dissipates quickly
S: juicy tangerine, pale malt, faint grassy hops
T: zesty tangerine, nutty pale grain, modest hops are spicy, herbal, and grassy
F: lighter body, effervescent carbonation tingles the tongue, zesty and tangy finish
O: easy drinker with refreshing tangerine added
