12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. A late 2023 release, had 2/20/24.
Pours a medium amber color, a little cloudy, with a half inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of malt, caramel, brown sugar, oak, light bourbon and vanilla. Smells a little spicy. Flavors of bourbon, malt, caramel, some oak, light vanilla, a little chocolate and cola. Tastes a little spicy and has a light sweet note. Smooth, a good medium body, well carbonated.
Lots of caramel and malt, with a sufficient barrel presence. Has a spicier flavor than typical for the style. Good and enjoyable, there’s just nothing about it that stands out.
