A very sweet tripel, lots of esters without any specific flavor standing out. An overall good tripel that I'd have believed came out of Belgium. Worth trying if in Japan.

Drunk Monk is brewed with wild yeast harvested from the skin of peaches. Yeast was originally harvested from persimmons but when our original yeast began to tire we changed to peaches.
Pouring a deep golden colour with a frothy head Monk looks like a typical tripel. The aroma is huge with peaches and mangoes being at the forefront. The taste is also full of fruit and hides the 8% well. It could be a little drier for me.

Had this on tap at Vivo! in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Poured into a snifter glass. The most amaaazing smell of persimmon and mango coming off this brew, and it comes through in the taste. A very sweet, alcoholic triple that will keep you coming back! I absolutely loved this, and I look forward to trying more from Outsider!
