This beer begins as our Belgian-Style Dark Strong Ale, 18-E. It is then aged in red wine barrels for up to one year to produce a deep mahogany color and rich, robust aroma. Sublime dark fruit notes come through with a complex finish of tannins from the barrel, slight bitterness from the hops, and a touch of sweetness from the heavy malts. This big beer is meant to be paired with a hearty meal or sipped slowly and savored.

Fruity quad, lots of wine flavors coming through, taste like Pinot Noir,
Bottle says Pettie Syrah, wood, raspberry, strawberry, earthy, kind of funky looking. Great beer if
You can find it.

The wine barrel aging shows through. Pretty good strong ale. Missing something that the top tier beers have thought. But still a solid showing by this brewery
