One of our awesome brewers David, was blessed with not one, but two baby girls. In honor of his twin girls and David's love for dark, malty beers we thought it fitting to brew a Belgian Dubbel. Dubbelganger is your classic Belgian Dubbel with just a hint of plum and fig sweetness from the dark Belgian malts. Although, dark in color this brew is surprisingly drinkable. It's the perfect beer for all you new dads out there :)

Look:
Very clear beer. Head retention isn't there. Within seconds it was gone.
Smell:
Very subtle malty aroma. Their description states there's plum and fig, so I was hoping some of that would come through in the aroma, but it didn't.
Taste:
Very light malt forward flavor, with almost no bitterness. Very drinkable, but I was hoping the flavor was more complex considering the ingredients used. The plum and fig come through slightly through the aftertaste, but if I didn't read the description I would have probably not have picked it up and mistaked it for the malts.
Feel:
It has a great body. I would say it's between a light and creamy mouth feel.
Overall:
Overall, it's a good beer, but not great. Was let down with the description, so I was expecting a more complex flavor and stronger aroma. The mouth feel is great and very drinkable. Would be excited to see the plum and fig amped up a little bit to show more prominence in the flavor. But in the end, a good light flavored beer with a good ABV. I would drink it again, but wouldn't go out of my way to drink it if there are other options.
