Drinking with Friends is a beer made from friends to be enjoyed with friends. The idea for this brew began years ago when we were enjoying an array of amazing wild ales with our best friends. We kept the remains from our favorite bottles and continued to do so at every bottle share throughout the year. At the end of the year, we used this unique blend of yeast to cultivate a delicious wild ale to be aged in white wine barrels during the following year. In 2016, we bottled and released our first batch, but reserved a few barrels to allow us to blend into later years. In 2017, we were able to blend barrels from the 2016 batch as well as the following year, adding layers of complexity to this already delectable brew. Finally, in 2018, we were able to officially do a full 3-year blend (barrels that are 1, 2, and 3 years old), just like they do in Belgium with Gueze. We plan to continue this 3-year blend year after year now. Blonde in color with the perfect balance of funk and fruit, this beer can be enjoyed now or for years to come.
