a fun if a bit confusing this one. its apparently a blend of their house ipa and their berliner weisse, and then aged on fresh peaches. sounds amazing, and its pretty good, but its strange the blend they settled on, and its odd to call it a double ipa at this modest abv, but the flavors are nice and i have not seen something like this before. lots of innovation coming out of this humble brewery! golden beer, rather clear, and nicely carbonated. tons of peach in the nose, even ahead of the hops somehow, very sweet, but also natural. somewhat muted though as prominent as it is if that makes sense, like i get peach for sure, but its not that bursting juicy fuzzy yellow peach, its just generic peach, fresh as it is, i dont know, it tastes like peach but not an actual piece of fruit. hops are citrusy and nice and bitter which is a good balancing agent for the peaches, and the sourness is subtle, i expected a much more acidic beer overall, they must have done something less than a 50/50 blend with the berliner element. it adds a nice tang but keeps this mighty drinkable because its not so sour, just a tartness for maximum refreshment. there are lots of elements in play in this beer, but they come together really nicely, and this is another surprisingly inventive and well executed beer from these guys. i was impressed with both i had when i visited this place!
