750ml bottle purchased at the brewery in June poured into a snifter. Pours a dark brownish amber color with a light tan head that forms a ring of lacing around the glass. The aroma is tropical fruits, coconut, and rum from the 6 months this beer spent in the barrels. The nose is pretty fantastic. The taste like the aroma is sweet and fruity with some warmth from the alcohol. Overall, Soledad is a unique twist on your standard tripel and one that I enjoyed.

From a bomber bought at the brewery. Poured into a small snifter.
Just when I thought I had tasted all beer permutations this beer comes along. A beer that reminds me of a piña colada. But more a dry English Barleywine or Strong Ale. Try this beer when it's cold but also let it warm up and see how it changes. 3.75
A - A nice clear almost glowing amber with a beige rocky head that dissipated quite quickly. 4
S - Like a piña colada, coconut, rum, tropical fruits. 4.25
T - Alcohol, some vinous qualities, a bit spicey and minor sweetness but the other favors that might be there are hidden by the alcohol bite (not solventy). 3.75
MF - Medium body, semi dry finish. A bit hot. 3.25

Appearance: Pours a cloudy copper with a thick head that leaves a few strands behind; foam puffs out of the bottle from the liquid left behind
Smell: Banana, coconut, soda bread and cane sugar
Taste: Soda bread and banana, up front, with the coconut and cane sugar building the tropical sweetness; hops add an earthy balance, in the mid-palate, with the rum barrel, cane sugar and vanilla adding sweetness to the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: This one has a very low score courtesy of a couple of tickers in a low data set; I don't think it is a bad beer though I don't think I would re-visit it; the ingredients make for an interesting recipe but the flavor is a bit out of whack
Thanks, Shilt, for the opportunity
