Poured from 375mL bottle into a Bear Republic tasting glass.

A: Hazy auburn with no head.
S: It smells like a margarita. A bit syrupy.
T/M: Tart and watery and wheaty. The spice creeps up on the end, but it's not oppressively. Nicely balanced with citrus. The rum doesn't materialize as much more than an indistinct sugariness.
O: Really interesting...but I'm not sure if it's *good*. Still, it's drinkable and compelling. Recommended.

The previous reviewer cj8311 hit the nail right exactly perfect on the head! One of my favorite offerings from SW. The Heat from the ghost chile is at the perfect level. very drinkable.

On tap at the brewery from a 5 oz snifter. Poured a hazy tan with some brightness. Nose was subtly pungent, with a bit of fresh fruit/pepper aroma underneath. Only a trace of rum was detectable. Well carbed, but with a creamy mouthfeel on the front end. Creamy initial mouth feel gives way to a tart gose punch followed on the very back end with some pepper heat. The heat was not overpowering, and came entirely on the very back end / after taste.
Very strong effort that showed a deft hand - the pepper could easily have been overpowering. Rum barrel character was not strong, but there nonethless. Not sure how much it added but it didnt detract either.
