The fuse is lit, and tons of locally roasted apples are guided by precision and dropped like tiny bombs into the mash. Air raid sirens wail as phase two commences in the brew kettle, with the fusion of a hundred pounds of Apple JacksĀ® cereal that instantaneously turns to dust. As Defcon 1 approaches, fragments of even more apples are deployed in the fermenter, heightening the threat of flavor shrapnel. An atomic explosion of tart apple will mushroom in your mouth and devastate your senses, as brown sugar and cinnamon help shelter your tastebuds from the fallout.

Needs more tartness to go with the copious dose of cinnamon. The cinnamon was definitely my biggest issue with this beer. It overpowered the apples and the little bit of tartness. It was also slightly watery, so the spice was basically the only flavor present. Decent idea, mediocre execution.

On tap @ Strangeways:
A cloudy apple juice colored pour.. smells of apple, cinnamon, slight esters. Where the smell is what you expect by the name "A-Bomb", the flavor is lacking. Light apple notes slightly overpowered by cinnamon. Lacking in tartness for balance. Mouthfeel is somewhat watery and may have just been undercarbonated or keg pressure issues which MAY have effected the entire experience. Not my favorite sour from SW
