Poured into a stemmed tulip from a bomber.
An unfortunate beer. One that sucks you in at the beginning with its decent appearance and seductive tequila flavors but quickly looses its appeal as the remainder of the beer is without the character and depth necessary to for proper balance. Not a drain pour, but I can't finish an entire bomber. I almost feel as if the brewer had an pour batch of a stout and decided to throw into some barrels to some how improve it. Hey, everyone buys barrel aged beers. 3
A - Pours a oily black with a half-finger brown head that quickly dissipates. Significant alcohol legging with minor lacing. 3.5
S - Muted tequila but not much else. 3.25
T - Tequila (not overwhelming) mixed with an average dry english stout, but without the roastiness. Ends with an almost medicinal bitter finish. 3
MF - Medium heavy body with a semi-dry finish. Leaves sort of an oily film on the palate. 2.75
