Brand new micro brewery and I mean MICRO opened last week in Salem, another part of the rapidly expanding craft beer market in Salem , once referred to as the Great Oregon Beer Desert!
the brewery is in a small off street strip mall( its unmarked on the strip mall sign but drive around the back and you will find it).
I went in on a Friday afternoon and there was perhaps a dozen people there. Small area at the front has a couple of picnic tables. Just behind that is the actual brewhouse and that has a small comfortable bar area.
At the moment they have 5 taps I tried them all and all were satisfactory..i really enjoyed the Honey Basil ale. Yes even with 5 taps they have some oddball stuff.
The guy on duty was very friendly and happy to explain everything. Good atmosphere all around everyone pleasant.
Very nice addition to the scene.
No food just pretzels but I am sure like most other new craft establishments in Salem they have food carts come around
