Bay State Brewing Co. "Kelley2"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
Notes via stream of consciousness: A thumb's width of off-white foam rests atop a cloudy golden-orange body. The aroma is citrusy and gently piney over a bready malt base. The taste delivers more sweet maltiness and a wider range of citrusy/tropical fruits. I'm getting orange, papaya, grapefruit, berries, guava, lemon-lime, and pine. It's interesting, rich, and satiating. The alcohol is clearly present but it's not too hot or distracting. Could it be smoother? Yes, but it's still OK. I can't figure out what the bitterness level is but there's some there, and along with the alcohol it dries the finish. The fruitiness and soft pine lingers gently. In the mouth it's medium-full in body and gently crisp. The head held up well but it didn't leave a stitch of lacing behind, probably because of the alcohol. As far as double IPAs go it's a decent pint.

From a 16 oz. can that might be a little old. No date. Sampled on Feb 13, 2022.
The color of the pour is a slightly cloudy orange-amber with a small then disappearing off-white head.
Aroma of kiwi, tropical fruits, orange, and grapefruit with a lower profile cereal grain. No alcohol.
Low medium mouthfeel.
The taste is inherently sweeter than I would imagine for a DIPA but there are still some tropical fruit aspects to it. Again, no booze.

Pours a slightly hazy orange with a small short lived bubbly head with some lacing.
Smells of slightly dank piney hops in a just opened can. In the glass it smells and tastes of sweet light citrus. There is very little bitterness. The alcohol hides well.
Medium body and light carbonation. Light, clean mouthfeel.
This is a very pleasant, strong, drinkable brew that those who are not fans of hop bitterness will enjoy.

A: Pours a super lightly hazy golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap that leaves good lacing
S: Citrus up front along with some lighter floral and earthy notes
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the citrus and then picks up some floral, earthy, and lightly piney hop notes. Low bitterness. Finishes with lingering citrus
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A very solid DIPA that is definitely on the juicy side. Hides the abv incredibly well, which makes it dangerously drinkable. Worth checking out

Poured into a can glass straw yellow with a 1 inch fluffy head
Aroma is of citrus as in lemon, orange and a hint of pineapple
Taste is smooth and follows the nose
Mouthfeel is fairly full and low carbonation. It’s very smooth and light finishing for a double. No bite to speak of.
Overall not a bad beer, I liked it.
