500ml bottle: BBD Mar 2014. Poured into 'Veltins' badged tulips just after Andy Murray won the Wimbledon mens singles on 7 Jul 2013.
Usual lager/pilsner look: golden, bright and clean. Thin white head on each glass.
Hop nose and taste with a malty overtone: semi-sweet, yet with enough hop content to keep the beer dry and refreshing.
OK and a bit different to most lagers.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a light amber/golden colour with a nice head that settles down to a small layer. Nice lacing.
Smells malty and sweet with vague hops.
Tastes malty and almost sweet with a watery character too, and some slight bitter hops.
Overall a decent drink.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of April 2013. Picked up from - you guessed it - Sainsbury's.
Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A light golden hue with medium carbonation. Forms a very thin head of white foam that disappears almost immediately. Aroma of light malt with a sweet, grainy character. Notes of yeast and crisp aromatic hops.
Tastes of light malt with a crisp, dry finish. Notes of grassy aromatic hops, earthy yeast and a hint of grain. A mild bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is light, smooth and dry. Somewhat astringent. Aftertaste of light malt and aromatic hops.
Tasty - a quality lager. Light and dry, with a nice aromatic hop flavour and restrained carbonation. Just like a decent lager should be. Well worth sampling.
