Bought by my wife at Woodman’s. From a bomber into a pint, the beer is a copper with a slight chill haze and wispy off-white foam.
The nose is of grains and a tiny hint of ginger.
The taste is slightly sweet with some grains and a bit of plum/apple. There is just a smidge of alcohol heat. Unfortunately the ginger is missing in action for most of the beer. It starts to make an appearance mid-glass, but I had to strain to pick it up. Maybe this beer is old and the ginger has faded but there is no freshness dating on the bottle.
The mouth is decent with mid-level carbonation and a touch of slickness.
I like the idea of the beer, but it missed the mark for me.
