2019 dated 375mL bottle.
Pours a very dark reddish amber with no head or visible carbonation. Glassy surface after a couple loose bubbles rapidly fade. Not sure what kind of “Belgian-Style” they’re referencing on the label, Flanders Red?
Smells like apple butter, baked apples and cinnamon, some noticeable acidity and lactic funk.
Puckering feel with some apple and sour grape notes, moderately sour, finishes dry. Stops short of overt acetic acid, but it’s definitely present. Virtually no carbonation, the bottle was only capped. Can’t really believe this is 10% either, not really noticeable, but it has ample body which is a giveaway. Overall it’s odd, kind of like an unblended Flanders Red. Not as strong as their Sour Golden Ale a few years back.

Day 6 of 2020 Advent Calendar. 2020 Vintage poured from the can into a snifter. Pours deep red with a small light brown head. Smells of sour fruit, mainly grape notes. Tastes of sour fruit notes, mainly grapes and slight apple. Beer is full bodied, yet easy to go down with good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Had on tap. Smell was lemon and oak forward with some very light funk and decent citric acidity. Taste as similar, but a little thicker, had sneaky bready complexion, but overall kind of bland. Little thin in the body, acidity builds down the glass but nothing too strong, a little sliminess in the finish, but not in a bad way, hard to describe. Overall a pretty forgettable ale

375ml bottle, served in a snifter glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden-yellow body, one finger white head, short retention and not much lacing. Smell is moderately lactic, light grainy sweetness, slight butter, lemon and oak. Flavour is a solid lemon acidity, oak presence, slight grainy sweetness, not too much butter. Simple wild, but works well enough. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, slightly buttery finish, fair bit of oak, good carbonation. Solid wild ale, seems to work alright enough.
