Poured from a mini growler into a tulip. Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Smells of chocolate and coffee with nice cognac notes. Tastes of coffee with cognac notes, and just a hint of vanilla, very smooth. Beer is full bodied but the aging in the cognac barrel has made it very smooth, almost dangerously so, good carbonation. Overall, a superb beer.
