Day 24 of the 2023 Advent calendar. Poured from a can into a snifter. Pours pitch black with a nice light brown head. Smells of coffee, raisins, chocolate. Tastes of coffee with nice chocolate, fruit, and just a hint of bourbon. Beer is full bodied yet easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

This beer looks like I'm pouring motor oil. It is pitch black pouring with a 1 1/2 finger brown head. He bubbles are fairly small for the most part. The head retention is quite good. There's really no lacing as the head dissipates to a ring around the edge of the glass.
The aroma is a very pleasing mix of brown sugar, toffee, caramel, bourbon, chocolate, and dark fruit.
I get a lactose like flavor up front. I don't think there's any in here. I get a lot of chocolate in the flavor with plum, raisin, and fig. Caramel and toffee make the mix also.
The body is fairly thick. There's a bit of a burn on the backside.

Pours black, limited tan head, boozy bourbon, chocolate aroma, taste is sweet at start, molasses, dark fruit, light roast, chocolate. Mouthful is full. Warming as it goes down.

Aroma is bourbon, dark malts, chocolate and big dark bread. The flavor is fruit/far fruit, bourbon, dark malts, mild chocolate and a big acidic/slightly sweet finish.
