Great grandma was a criminal. Established as a "soft drink parlor" Kegel's Inn was actually a prohibition speakeasy selling 20 cent whiskey and 15 cent beer brewed in the basement. In 1927 Anna Kegel, my great grandma, was caught selling "intoxicating liquor" during a police raid. Although prohibition agents are no longer breaking the Bock barrels, this beer is so good it feels like it should be illegal.
