Very dark ruby colour with a cappucino creamy head that leaves nice lacing but sinks quite fast as well. Surface remains covered though. A full nose of roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate. These flavours are present in the taste as well, together with dark fruits like cherry and plume. Pleasantly sweet in the mouth and some dryness in the finish. Medium to full-bodies with a smooth mouth feel. The brewers labeled this as a bock for some reason, but it's got all the characteristics of a porter/stout. Its abv is also relatively low for a bock. This doens't harm the flavour though; quite intense. Normally, i would substract points when it's something different than it pretends to be, but i really enjoyed this beer. Try it, but just don't expect a bock. Maybe "black bock" means stout.

Dark ruby pour, slightly translucent, light tan head with little retention. Smells like a fresh porter, roasted grains, coffee, dark chocolate. The taste, again, reminds me of a fresh porter, and if this wasn't labelled as a bock, I wouldn't know it.
