Orange haze with an unimpressive head of foam. Lovely smell of peat (the turf), orange and malt. These flavours return in the taste, with a subtle saltiness (the surf) and some clove. I like the balance and intensity, but it tends to get a little boring after a while. The mouth feel lacks carbonation, with the thick oily feel fits well with the peat theme. Puritan tripel fans might be offended by this brew, but I like its twist.

L - Yellow-orange leaning towards a murky brown-orange. Subtle white head. Dissipates quickly.
S & T - banana/clove-y notes are there, but not as in-your-face as your regular tripel. Slight salty note. Spicy, flowery. Couldn't really find the peatiness myself. The description might sound a bit rough or edgy, but it actually tastes surprisingly smooth and balanced.
F - Nice and spritzy. But does dry out the mouth a bit.
O - It's got quite a bit going on for it. The whole sea salt and peat thing seemed like a twist for the sake of it, at first glance, so color me surprised when I tasted it to find out it actually worked. Tripels are still not my preferred style, yet even I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. Very nice.
I quite heartily recommend this.
