Got this from the brewery. Cheers!
From a 33cl can into a snifter
Hops: Amarillo & Simcoe
NEIPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a small, one finger, medium looking, fluffy white head with good retention. Hazy amber yellow with no carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a faint wisp and clings to the glass. Splotchy wisp remains leaving decent lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Lots of tropical fruits with pineapple, mango, passion fruit and honeydew melon on the nose. Bold. Notes of caramel and a touch of tangerine.
TASTE: Milder in flavor with some tropical notes, pineapple and light passion fruit up front. Notes of caramel and some hay at the swallow. Medium finish of tropical notes, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and a touch of piney bitterness. Rather bland.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy enough, a bit foamy, goes down fine and finishes a touch dry.
OVERALL: This one is a little bit of a letdown. It’s got a very nice nose on it, but the flavor falls a bit flat, unfortunately. These guys make good stuff and this one had a lot of promise out of the can, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations.
