Got this from the webshop in Utrecht. Cheers!

Double mash Russian imperial stout aged in Bourbon barrels
Best Before 08-01-2026
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear black and yields a small, fizzy, loose head with poor retention. Head immediately fizzes away to a slight ring only. Black body and no carbonation evident. Ring quickly vanishes and looks rather flat.
SMELL: Lots of nice bourbon, oak, vanilla cream and milk chocolate on the nose. Bold and boozy. Caramel, toffee, butterscotch, as well as some decent bourbon character on the nose. Very enticing.
TASTE: Bourbon, oak, woody flavors, vanilla cream, milk chocolate and caramel sweetness, as well as some solid bourbon and booze at the swallow. Roasted bitterness as well. Bold finish of bourbon, alcohol, vanilla cream and milk chocolate, caramel and toffee sweetness, as well as some roasted and dark chocolate bitterness linger on the palate. Boozy and flavorful.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. A bit fizzy on the palate, a touch lighter in weight as well, goes down okay and finishes somewhat mouth-coating. A decent amount of heat and bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: This is really good. One of the best VdS barrel aged stouts to date. The BA barleywine is also stellar, so it’s hard to pick a favorite. The feel is a little fizzier and lighter than hoped for the style, but that’s a minor complaint. Definitely flavorful and enjoyable all-day-long. Definitely a brew I’ll pick up again on my next order. If you’re in the area and enjoy the style, be sure to check this one out. Cheers!
