Got this from the webshop a while back. Cheers!
From a can into a snifter
Best Before 22-02-2022
APPEARANCE: Pours a small, medium looking, white head with good retention. Hazy amber yellow in color with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a faint wisp and ring. Ends a little flat with no real lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Bold nose of apricot, melon, honeydew, lots of caramel aromas, as well as hints of toffee. Some booze in there too.
TASTE: Caramel, toffee ad honeydew sweetness up front, with hints of apricot, melon and cantaloupe at the swallow. A hint of booze as well. Bold finish of caramel and toffee sweetness, melon flavors, cantaloupe, some light passion fruit and alcohol linger on the palate. Flavorful.
PALATE: Fuller body and slightly lower levels of carbonation. Creamy and slick on the palate, goes down fine with a bit of a burn and finishes somewhat sticky. Some decent heat lingers.
OVERALL: Good stuff. It’s apparently a few weeks past the best-by date, but it’s still really good. Big, bold and flavorful with a full, creamy-slick body to boot. Vandestreek makes some good stuff and this is another example of how well they make hop-forward brews. Even though it’s past date, it’s still worth a try if you can get it. Cheers!
