Copenhagen 44 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Drawing of a little vehicle driven by a big balloon on the can.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with a big fluffy white head. Stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense with a light fruity sweetness and stronger citric, acerbic notes. Peach and pineapple. Grape fruit, lemon and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is tart, citric and bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
A session IPA delivering a fair amount of intensity and a bitter bite. But not entirely sessionable with an ABV of 5%.
