This is our take on the original Oktoberfest beer, the märzen. Still widely enjoyed but sometimes overshadowed by the lighter lagers. In our version, Tid og Sted, we used pilsner malt, dark caramel malt and a touch of roasted barley. The result is a crisp and bready brown lager with a moderate sweetness.
Though produced for the annual Oktoberfest, this beer can be enjoyed anytime and anywhere.

Copenhagen 9/12 2020. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. Another feature in Ølsnedkeren's take on German beer styles. Grey pine forest with a thin, shining, white line cutting across on the can.
Pours dark, unclear amber with a mid-sized, bubbly white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor and light notes of sour grains. Pale sweet malts, light caramel. Hits of mustard and light sourness.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium strong with a medium strong sweetness followed by a light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for af while. Finish is sweetish.
Fairly generic take on a Märzen in all its sweet and malty majesty.
