Copenhagen 9/8 2021. 40 cl from tap at Ølsnedkeren, Griffenfeldsgade, Kbh. N.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer.
Moderate lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, dark, malty odor mingling with a roasted scent. Dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, brown sugar. Leather and wet soil.
Light carbonation. Thick, soft, smooth, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light touch of alcohol. Lingering. Finish is sweet and fulfilling.
Perfectly pleasant Imperial Stout with enough potency to hide a quite substantial ABV. Good one.
