I never had a Blondine beer until this moment, when I was handed Blondine Blond Ale to share. From a short stubby bottle, on to the beer:
The name says blond, and indeed the color is blonde. A little bit of lace staying around, though the head retention is okay. It has a phenolic character, telling me that this beer is going towards the spicier Belgian way of doing blonde ales. So, the aroma brings light clove and baked bread, also a note of popcorn. It has a mild taste to taste the aroma; a kiss of clove, a layer of bubblegum, overall light and refreshing in the mouth. While not a top pick from me, this did relax my palate after a number of intense beers.
