White River Brewing Company

At the east end of the original main street of town. Lots of older two story buildings along this street. Location is a corner lot, with a large patio filling out the area next to the intersecting streets. Darker interior in the taproom. Twelve or so taps, with a standard offering of styles. Staff is quick to offer service. Situated in an interesting neighborhood of small shops, restaurants, and bars, which means increased weekend business. Noticed a moderately high police presence on the area's streets.

 

 

During a recent trip to Springfield, I dropped into this brewery. There was on-street parking and a roomy tap-room, with an outdoor patio/beer-garden. The building is an old industrial site, and the equipment is visible though windows. They had many selections on tap, but no food. The server was very friendly, and offered samples, and explanations of the brews. There were also plenty of regulars, all of whom were friendly. Good place.
