Look: It pours out of the bottle with a lot of foam from the head. It is amber and clear. The head is off white and has excellent head retention.
Smell: It has strong spicy aromas. It has some citrus with a certain candy like sweetness in the background.
Taste: There are some toffee and candy like flavors. There are also some citrus flavors. The spices are in the background.
Feel: It has a medium body with some slickness on the tongue. The rye is a little more prominent in the finish.
Overall, the flavors did not quite mess right for me.

@ Steel String
I'm not sure if this is an ever-changing recipe or if they're still just tweaking things, but this particular batch was brewed with Chinook which compliments the spicy qualities of the rye nicely.
Hazy bronze under a small, creamy white head. A bubbly ring retains on the surface. Moderate spicy, dank, pungent aromas of earthy pine, slight caramelized onion, caramel, and toast. Tastes a little brighter with more floral hop notes, peppery spice, pine, and grapefruit zest over subtle biscuit malt. Creamy to start, but light and crisp with a long lasting dryness. I enjoyed this a lot. Steel String keeps on improving in my opinion. A satisfyingly spicy, oily session beer.
