Poured ontap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a dark brown, chocolaty coloring, with a light, filmy, tan head. Aromas of dark roasted coffee, bittersweet baker's chocolate, and subtle creme highlights. Very balanced nose. Flavors are heavily roasted forward, with a mocha backbone, subtle char highlights, and some earthy tones. Dry, smooth bodied, very true to style, with a smoked, roasted coffee aftertaste. Cocoa and coffee linger on a dry, lingering finish. Good beer.
