L: Dark brown with a thin, short-lived, tan-coloured head and spotty lacing.
S: Light raspberry aroma. Not much else (which is surprising for such a big stout).
T: A raspberry and chocolate dessert. The coconut emerges in the aftertaste. Sweet and a little tart. Finishes a little toasty.
F: Rich and smooth with a not-quite-dry finish. Maybe a little cloying?
O: A tidy, not overly flamboyant, pastry stout. Sweet, not super sweet. No mention of lactose on the label.
