Taster at Redbeard. Clear golden pour, spotty head, streaky lacing. Butterscotch aroma, sweet. Taste is buttery, sweet, sticky, mouth coating, fruity.

Good bitter but balanced AIPA. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer featured a deep golden color, with just a little haze and a medium sized white head with somewhat better than average retention. Aroma and taste were a nice mixture of bready malt and some grapefruit and piney bitterness. Good bitterness level. Mouthfeel was crisp and medium density. The level of bitterness was just right. A solid IPA

Balance, Citrus, Tea, Crust
Weighing in at 65 IBUs and layered with citric, herbal, and tea-like flavors this IPA still comes across as being quite a level IPA. Juicy from start to finish, hint of alcohol lets the palate know this is a pretty hefty IPA. Without a doubt we are tasting the definition of the “East Coast IPA” or at least one that is in the realm of being balanced. Beers like this are the foundation of what and IPA should be.
