Pours a deep black color with a very slight head that fades away quickly. Smell is dark chocolate, with bourbon, vanilla, and a little roasted malt, some notes of booze. Taste follows, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, a hint of booze but certainly not overpowering. Body is lighter for a BA imperial stout, almost a little oily, goes down very easily. Leaves a little alcohol and chocolate aftertaste, kinda like Godiva dark chocolate liquor. Overall, very nice BA stout and a great way to kick off the stout season. I'll be picking up some next year.
