Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a thin beige head that fades to a ringlet and then disappears; leggy, with dots
Smell: The Baker's makes a statement in the aroma, bringing caramel, cinnamon, vanilla and oak; chocolate malts support
Taste: Chocolate forward and then the Bourbon takes over, bringing caramel and cinnamon prominently; the oak and vanilla emerge, along with the boozy aspect, after the swallow
Mouthfeel: Full body with low carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: I would like a little more carbonation but the flavors here are excellent

The beer pours very little head. The bit that does come out is a dark brown but it dissipates quickly. The beer itself is as dark chocolate brown that looks black. It's pretty dark. The texture is a bit creamy with a bit of viscosity to it.
The smell is pretty good. It has a sweet milk chocolate note that is quickly overwhelmed by the spicey and orange bourbon note alongside a moderate vanilla.
The taste is very good. The mix of the chocolate and Baker's bourbon worked out wonderfully. The chocolate comes out first but the Baker's bourbon comes in quickly with cinnamon spice, a bit of orange and light vanilla mixed in all the way to the finish.
The feel is good. It has a heavy body but has a thin texture to it. It isn't watery and has more of a slight viscosity to it with very little to non-existent carbonation. It strongly resembles more of a bourbon than a beer.
Overall, a very good beer and one worth getting when they release it. It's absolutely delicious.
