The beer pours very little head and is largely nonexistent. The beer itself is an opaque cloudy brown color while the lacing around the inside of the glass is white. It looks okay overall.
The smell is pretty good. It has rich bourbon note of orange, caramel, and vanilla.
The taste is absolutely delicious. It's a fairly sweet taste with a rich caramel note upfront followed by a noticeable vanilla in the finish.
The body is pretty good and oddly light for the style. It has a medium body with no carbonation and is fairly sticky all the way through to the finish.
Overall, this is a pretty good barleywine to have during the cold months with its rich flavors.

On draft, in snulip glass
Cloudy dark brown in color, off white colored head that fades. Huge bourbon aroma - very nice vanilla and oak. Rich caramel malt flavor but not overly sweet. Medium bodied, a bit slick feel.
