A complex, layered hop mixture makes this a well rounded IPA with strong grapefruit and pine flavors with a hint of pepper. This beer has great head retention and strong hop aroma.

Rio Grande IPA is a bit plain, not complex, and dominated by the piney aftertaste, but I enjoy it, and especially the aftertaste. It is a solid IPA.
Look: semi-clear golden with a thin white head
Aroma: grapefruit and pine
Taste: There's crackers, grapefruit, and significant pine resin, with a long piney aftertaste.
Body/Overall: light to medium body

Sampler in airport
Appearance Slightly hazy, doesn't hold a head
Aroma Full hope note, a bit harsh, citrus, mostly grapefruit
Taste Bitter hops overwhelm the base, and there is a slight soapy note.
Feel Medium body, oily finish
Overall Not bad but a little one dimensional

Light amber color with good off white head and lacing. Piney citrus aroma. Taste is hoppy reisen heavy with some citrus. Malt balances out the hops. Medium-light finish a little on the bitter side. Lacking some depth and complexity.
