Appearance: A bubble show lifts a two finger head over the slightly hazy golden colored liquid; excellent retention and spotty lacing

Smell: Southern Hemisphere hop aromatics produce a vinous white wine aroma that is joined by grapefruit pith; marmalade tones, as well

Taste: Candied citrus forward with grapefruit pith building; the vinous white wine flavor complements; the marmalade arrives, after the swallow, and drives home the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Interesting beat down between the Kiwi and West Coast hops; the combination produces the marmalade on the finish

Thanks, adrock314, for the opportunity

Love the Nelson hops in this brew. Visited 4 breweries in the Burgh and this was in my top 3 beers. Great little operation and friendly owners pouring beers on a Saturday night.

Great beer, the Nelson Sauvin comes out in the front and the cascade in the back.

Thanks to evahflow (reddit) for this one, shared with rudzud.

Pours a decent fizzy creamy head, murky peach orange color. 4

Nose big time kiwi hops and tropical fruits, ruby red grapefruit all over tons of it, fresh, juice, pith, etc. Mild tangerine, guava, juicy tropical like papaya fruit, mild dank resin. 45

Taste is mild grainy sweet malt, reddish malt, but little compared to the big hops, grapefruit again, little pith and rind, mild tangerine and citrus rind, into more tropical notes, papaya, hint of mango, etc. Nice juicy citrus fruit, and fleshy feel with the malt. Fair bitterness that ramps a bit and turns slight tannic bitterness and quite bitter on the finish, more rind, pith, grapefruit, citrus, and generic tropical fruit skin lingering. 425

Mouth is med bod but nice full fleshy feel, nice carb for a growler, very little booze. 45

overall pretty nice. Enjoyable, nice feel, great nose, good taste, great usage of hops aside from the finish. 425

Thanks to JLindros for sharing.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy orange hue with a thin white head that faded to leave wisps and some thin lacing. Solid appearance for an ipa. 4.25 (x .05 = .213)

S - Aromas of oranges, light citrus, faint tropical hops, dank and wet. Grapefruit galore, actually overpowers the tropical fruits. While not a bad thing it does deter slightly from the nose. 4.5 (x .2 = .9)

T - Taste is nice grapefruit, which is again the dominant thing. Tropical notes are rather muted, nice candy citrus peel, sweet malts. balanced bitterness. The grapefruit peel becomes a little oily, bitterness actually is pretty low. Alcohol is hidden very nicely. 4.25 (x .45 = 1.913)

M - Mouthfeel is lighter, alcohol hidden well. Solid for a growler. 4.25 (x .1 = .425)

O - Overall this beer was tasty, glad Jared shared. I personally don't like to trade for ipas but this was tasty. Solid grapefruit notes throughout, very nice. 4.25 (x .2 = .85)

Pour is hazed deep amber with a fairly tight white head. Nose is extremely tropical, lots of pineapple, stone fruit and grapefruit. Taste isn't as tropical, a bit of grain up front, still some tropical fruits with hints of resin and a bit herbal behind. Medium body, a hint syrupy with moderate carb.
