Handsome pour with a nice pile of foam on the amber hazy brew. Long lasting foam. A little grainy aroma with some orange juice. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Susan's Fine Wine & Spirits in Santa Fe.
Sweet and malty with a rainy, yeasty edge. This tastes like corn to me, like a Belgian malt liquor. That would be a long-awaited new style. I think of canned peaches with a bitter and slightly metallic note. This is quite yeasty, with the usual drying Belgian finish. A touch of tangerine peel. But oh, so sweet, with every sip. Bitter and starkly mineral aftertaste.
