"Brewed with honey from our hives and whole heather flowers. 6.5%. A fruity, cozy and easy drinking beer with substantial depth and complexity. Broad appeal comes from a full, silky body and nice hop balance, the heather providing subtle floral notes without being perfumy. Finishes clean with light medicinal heather and fruit with a hint of honey. As always, no flavorings or extracts were used in brewing this beer, the unique flavor and color coming from whole Scottish heather flowers and honey from our own bee hives."
Pretty cloudy deep amber with flittering bits of stuff, forming a modest off yelllow head with average retention and good lacing. Mild carbonation ~2.25 carbs or so. Nose of caramel, browning apples and cherries, astro pop, fair amount of diacetyl, no perceptable hop or honey aroma. Not having smelled fresh heather, I don't know if it's there or not. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and perceptibly tart. Mild bitterness and a metallic tang. The bitterness and tartness don't sit together well. Hrmm. Sticky malts, a bit syrupy, light roast.
Sorry, not digging this one. metallic, sour, bitter...drain pour. Will have to pass on this one.

From the beautiful recently brewed 16 oz can. Sweet honey fruity nose.
Rich amber color.
This is a floral Scottish ale with complex honey malt dark fruit flavors. Very unique in its smell and flavor, I really like the mouth feel and sweet herbal malty flavor, delicious. In my opinion,
This is an excellent herbal Scottish ale. Unique in flavor and complexity. If you see it, try it. You’ll be happy you did.

Pours a dark brown color with a minimal tan head that disappears quickly. Aroma of caramel. Tastes of caramel with a bit of spice at the end. Crisp finish.
