This is a porters porter; a nice solid representation of the style. It has a milky aroma with an abundance of toast and a taste like toast and chocolate. It is straight black with almost no carbonation. Its tan head quickly flees.
The one thing holding it back is the flat body. This may be an unfortunate circumstance unique to my visitation. But theres no getting over it. A fresher pint would have earned higher marks. I can tell what this beer could be and perhaps actually is under better circumstances. But I review beers based on what they are in the moment. This beer at this moment has a rich flavor but a weary body.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
