A: Pours a relatively clear copper in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some amber highlights. It wasn't poured with much head, and the small amount initially present fell quickly with little to no residual lacing.

S: Little aroma other than a bit of malts.

T: Up front there are moderate flavors of caramel malts with a light amount of sweetness. The sweet potato and spice flavors come on mildly and don't linger long, as they mix with the malts into something rather bland.

M: Much less body than expected. A bit flat, as well, leaving me with neither a sense of fullness nor carbonated clarity on the palate (I would've expected lingering fullness).

O: I thought this ale came up short for a brew described as akin to sweet potato pie. If anything, I would have expected something a bit too over-spiced, full-bodied, and heavy, but was instead met with a weak, borderline watery beer that didn't leave me with any lasting characteristics. Would not pay $5 for a pint of this again.
