Body is a hazy honey times gold color. Head is a full 3 fingers of tan fluff with nice retention. Nose is basically lemon zest and fresh cut grass. The taste is very floral with a bit of citrus rind and resin based hop character. The taste of this beer is big on citrus rind throughout. Overall this is a solid beer but a little odd.

Served on-tap at the brewery.
A - A nice yellow-orange, good frothy head .
S - Probably the best part of this beer. Bright and lemony dominates.
T - Nowhere close to the smell. Tastes piney-er than its nose suggests.
M - Just-right carbonation, nice and meaty like my favorite IPAs.
O - Upon sticking this beer under my nose, I was ready for a bright, citrus bomb of an IPA. Instead I get... a nice, middle of the road IPA. As such, it's a perfectly good beer, but I'd be too disappointed to order one again.

Served on-tap at City Beverage (Food Truck Festival) in Winston-Salem, NC
A: Pours a relatively clear deep copper in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some amber highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a medium sized patch of thick film with a very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/lemon, citrus/lemon rind, and herbal hops along with a light aroma of caramel malts.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of hops - citrus/lemon, citrus/lemon rind, and herbal. Moderate amounts of bitterness that lingers for a moderate amount of time.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of dryness in the finish.
O: I thought this was an enjoyable but is probably just average for the style which seems to have more offerings available than any other... Pretty well balanced but had a little too much bittering hops for me.
