Finally got a chance to stop in here the other day. I waited so long to visit as I really only heard negative comments about this place from people who had been there when it first opened. Nice patio on the outside, smaller inside than I expected. Style and design is what I would expect , I dig it. Actually is a family-friendly little bar, if there is such a thing. Was a young family there when I popped in. Some arcade games, pinball machines, board games and vintage table games around the edges of the bar. They only had a few taps going, got their Porter which was well-crafted. Good service. Had a nice cocktail menu as well, including beer cocktails. I'd like to come back and try some of those. Nice little bar. I'll be back.

Have been to Hoots several time and I feel they get better each time we go. They've come a long way since opening in 2013 and the addition of several shops, a distillery, and a restaurant has helped drive foot traffic. Honestly, I think people waiting for the Tex Mex place down the hall probably constitute a large portion of their business on weekends. To me, Hoots is a solid addition to the NC beer scene and a great place to grab a pint. The beer selection is generally only a half dozen or so of their beers on tap at a time, but they have a well stocked bar in addition to their regular offerings. While only a few of their beers really stand out, it's clear that each was executed well and with care. I'm excited to see what the future has in store for this brewery. Certainly worth a visit if you're in Winston or passing through.

I went there last night, they announced that they had opened on monday. Their location is very hard to find, the street they're on is unmarked and is an alley thats a dead end. I drove by a few times before actually finding it. They have a nice outdoor space with benches and christmas lights.
Its a "private club" (i think its because they don't sell food idk the exact law) so you have to sign in. I went with another BA we stood at the bar for about 6-7 minutes while the tattooed woman who was bar tending looked at us a few times and finally came over and took our order (it was not busy at all maybe 15 people inside.) after she took our order she talked with other patrons and took 3 other peoples orders and served them before we decided to walk out. I tried to tell her we were leaving before she decided to serve the beer but once again ignored. I have never before had such bad service.
They dont have their own beers on tap yet just some regular beers (guiness) on draught and some canned beers (tecate, schlitz.)
I will try them once again when they get their beers going, I'll update it then.
