Excellent black IPA with perfect notes of pine in both the smell and taste. Not a hop bomb with a reasonable 50 IBUs. Very well balanced and probably the best black IPA I have personally had.
A: Very black and pretty opaque.
S: Piney hoppiness.
T: An excellent balance between the hops with a solid malt profile to balance the 50 IBUs.
M: Despite its color, it drinks like an IPA and is by no means a heavy beer that should scare off those who dislike thicker styles.
O: Excellent beer that is sure to please IPA fans and also isn't overwhelming enough to scare away those who are borderline on the style.
