The beer comes in a deep amber color. Clear and crimson from the Red X malts.
The aroma offers sweet caramel malts, citrus, resin, dank hops.
The flavor follows with a juicy hit of fresh grapefruit, onto spicy hops, sweet resin, bitter pine and earthiness on the aftertaste. The caramel sweetness upfront is balanced by the aggressive bitterness that slowly takes over the palate. Despite the deep color, the Red X really offers a gorgeous color without making the beer overly sweet or malt.
